This trek route is
designed to cover the whole of western part of Sikkim’s high altitude
beautiful places, mountains, flora and fauna. Trekking route passes
through Dzongri Area, Prek Valley and Singalila Range bordering with
Nepal from where one will have the opportunity to see Mountains of
southern part of
Mt. Khangchendzonga. as well
as of Nepal side in closer view. For the completion of this trek one
will have to make overnight stay at Tshoka, Dzongri, Samiti, HMI base
Camp – 4,574 m, Pangding – 4,270 m, Gomathang – 3,810, Garakhet –
4,280 m, Megu – 4,352 m, Dhond –3,897 m, Chewabhanjyang – 3,142 m,
Uttarey – 2,320 m. and passing across Daphebhir –4,631 m.
The round
trek around the ridges of Singalila range offers excellent views of
the mountain peaks of Singalila range of both Sikkim and Nepal. The
trail taken is Yuksam - Tshoka - Thangsing - Samiti - Goechala - Dzongri
- Pangding - Gomathang - Garakhet - Megu - Dhond - Chewabhanjyang -
Uttarey. The trek is recommended for natural
botanist in the flowering season in April - May.
