This is quite an ambitious trek since it requires much physical fitness for the acclimatization and strenuous last day trek to reach Goechala – 4,940 m. The trek starts from Yuksam and passes through Dzongri Area and trek route follows valley of Prek River till the destination – Goechala, making overnight stay at Tshoka, Dzongri, Thangsing – 3,800 m, Samiti – 4, 510 m, Goechala and back to Kokrochung, Tshoka and along with side trek to Lampokri for viewing the Lake and the Blue sheeps.

The most popular and well-known trek route in Sikkim, which is extended from Dzongri. The trail starts at Yuksam, from Dzongri the alpine trail to Thansing, Samiti Lake (4200 m) has enchanting view of Mt. Pandim and other peaks including Mt. Khangchendzonga. The highlight of the trek is the excursion to Goechala (4940 m), from this point the closer views of Mt. Khangchendzonga, Talung, Pandim and Talung glacier is extraordinary. The trek has option to make excursions to Bikbari, HMI base camp in Ratong glacier and to Lampokhari glacial lake.
