The monks of the Kargu Karma sect of Buddhism at Rumtek Monastery perform the chaam or the masked dances, twice a year. The dances are quite interesting and specially very colourful is the black-hat dance. The tour offers a detailed study of the monasteries of Karmapa Sect in Sikkim. The tour begins with stays at Gangtok, Rumtek, Rabangla and excursions to the monasteries of Phodong and Ralang.
